Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified/contacted when using this website, or when present in the practice, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.  By using this website it is deemed that you accept the following Privacy Policy.

We may collect the following information:
  • Name and Date of Birth
  • Contact information (including home and email addresses as well as home or mobile telephone numbers)
What we use it for

We will store your spectacle or contact lens prescription and any relevant medical findings to allow a thorough medical record. This will not be shared with anyone but your GP or Hospital in the event of medical referral, or another Opticians at your personal request by telephone or email.

We will store your contact information for the sole purpose of reminding you of an appointment or to book an overdue appointment, also to contact you to arrange fitting of glasses or contact lenses that are awaiting collection.

We will need to share your information with a contact lens company if you decide to have your lenses delivered directly to your home on a regular basis and not the practice.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect and hold.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties. This website does not use cookies but we do use Google Analytics to monitor website traffic. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you, or ask to amend the information we have, under the European General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
